The Provincial People's Committee organized a working session with the hope that the schools will cooperate in research in areas that the province pays special attention to such as: Science - Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation, AI and STEM. The Science - Technology Club of Technical Universities was established in 1993 to strengthen cooperation between technical universities in scientific and technological activities, enhance the exploitation of each school's potential to serve training and actively contribute to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

At the meeting, representatives of the school leaders proposed feasible cooperation contents in the fields that the province expects and the school has strengths. According to the assessment of the delegates, in recent years, Binh Dinh has made remarkable breakthroughs in the field of science and technology, with the highlight being the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education ICISE. However, this center is mainly in the field of basic science. The problem is that the province needs to have solutions to shift to applied science to have practical research with application to serve the socio-economic development of the province. In addition, the delegates also suggested that the province should pay more attention to the Blockchain field. On the side of the schools, they are always ready to cooperate with localities to further promote the applicability of research projects, as well as closely link theory with practice.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that Binh Dinh is very interested in developing science and technology. In addition to the ICISE Center, there is also the Quy Hoa Science Urban Area with the core of two enterprises FPT and TMA, the Center for Science Discovery and Innovation, FPT Valley. However, to develop further, support is still needed, including universities. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also asked the schools to support the province in linking with Quy Nhon University or opening more facilities in Quy Nhon to train high-quality human resources for the province. In addition, schools can also be interested in cooperating with the ICISE Center to participate in and coordinate research on basic science - a field that universities are interested in. Because the ICISE Center always has leading scientists and professors in the world attending conferences and seminars. In addition, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also expressed his wish to order applicable products from 32 Universities of the Club and the Department of Science and Technology will be the focal point to carry out this cooperation.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also hopes that universities will be the bridge in calling for investors in science and technology projects, and the province will create all conditions for projects to be implemented and successful in Binh Dinh.
