ChatGPT is down, why?

For ChatGPT application on mobile devices, users can still access and use it normally.

Notably, the ChatGPT outage also affected and rendered OpenAI's other service, Sora, an AI tool that generates videos from descriptive text, inaccessible.

OpenAI said it has identified the issue and is working to fix it. The issue stems from OpenAI's application programming interfaces.

This is not the first time ChatGPT has had a serious problem. Earlier in June, ChatGPT also crashed globally, making it inaccessible to users, and it took 3 days to fully recover. OpenAI did not provide an explanation for the problem that occurred in early June.

According to Downdetector, outage reports began to increase around 0:30 a.m. and peaked at 0:00 a.m. globally, with more than 80,000 reports for Facebook, 66,000 for Instagram, and about 10,000 for Messenger and WhatsApp.
