Approval of investment policy for Bai Goc Port Project with investment capital of 16,300 billion VND

The Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has just signed Decision No. 0976/QD - The People's Committee approved the investment policy and simultaneously approved the investor to implement the Bai Goc Port Construction Investment Project.

Accordingly, the investor implementing the Bai Goc Port Construction Investment Project is Bai Goc Phu Yen Port Joint Stock Company; headquartered in Phuoc Tan village, Hoa Tam commune, Dong Hoa town, Phu Yen province (now Hoa Xuan commune, Dak Lak province).

The project aims to invest in the construction of Bai Goc port, including hydraulic works, roads, yards, auxiliary systems and accompanying infrastructure to meet the needs of loading and unloading goods and equipment for Hoa Tam Industrial Park and other services related to port operations.

The construction of Bai Goc port also contributes to creating jobs for local people, contributing to the socio -economic development of the region and the whole Dak Lak province.

The Bai Goc port construction investment project has a total area of about 306.91 hectares, including 83.75 hectares of land area; 223.16 hectares of water surface area divided into 2 phases.

In which, phase 1 has a total area of 230.93 hectares, designed capacity of 15.6 million tons/year; including the construction of 6 wharves (including: wharves No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7, No. 10 and No. 11) with a total wharf length of 1,536 m, capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 220,000 DWT fully loaded; construction of a breakwater with a length of 1,634 m; dredging of the shipping channel, ship turning area, ship mooring area, corresponding maritime signaling system for 220,000 DWT ships to enter and exit safely...

Phase 1 with a total investment capital of VND 8,800 billion will complete basic construction investment procedures and put the project into operation or exploitation in the third quarter of 2028, in which the expected progress of completing legal investment procedures is in the first quarter of 2026.

Phase 2 has a total area of 75.98 hectares, a design capacity of 11.1 million tons/year (increasing the total design capacity of both phases to 26.7 million tons/year); building 6 more wharves (including: wharves No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 8, No. 9 and No. 12A) with a total wharf length of 1,610 m, capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 220,000 DWT fully loaded; building a breakwater with a length of 536 m; dredging the berthing area, the connection area of the maritime signal system corresponding to the safe entry and exit of 220,000 DWT ships.

The total investment capital of the Project is 16,300 billion VND, of which the investor's contributed capital is 2,500 billion VND and mobilized capital is 13,800 billion VND.

Phase 2 will complete basic construction investment procedures and put the project into operation or exploitation in the fourth quarter of 2030, in which the expected progress of completing legal investment procedures is in the fourth quarter of 2028.

According to the plan, the Bai Goc Port Construction Investment Project will be started by the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and Bai Goc Phu Yen Port Joint Stock Company on August 19, 2025.

This is also one of the 34 main bridges of the Inauguration and Groundbreaking Ceremony of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) held on August 19.
