Last year, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee, Government and people of the province affirmed their mettle, intelligence, will to be self-reliant, united and steadfast in their efforts to achieve very proud achievements. The economy continued to recover and grow strongly, the socio-economic infrastructure was invested in a synchronous and modern direction. With the determined efforts of the entire political system, the business community and the people in the province, there have been positive changes, achieving quite comprehensive results in all fields, the economy grew in all three pillars, in which the tourism sector had the most breakthrough development, the State budget revenue reached the set estimate, a number of large projects, problems that had been stuck for many years were gradually resolved, national defense and security were maintained, social security was ensured, the material and spiritual life of the people was constantly improved and enhanced. In 2023, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) will reach 7.3%, exceeding the set target, and the industrial production value will reach more than VND 39,102 billion, an increase of more than 5.5% compared to 2022.

2024 is the 4th year of implementing the 5-year Plan 2021 - 2025, which is of special importance in successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year socio-economic development goals 2021 - 2025 of Binh Thuan province. Accordingly, departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the province will join hands in solidarity, act decisively, scientifically, actively innovate, create, maximize opportunities, potentials, comparative advantages of the province, determined to overcome difficulties, adapt flexibly and effectively to difficulties and challenges in the spirit of the Government's 2024 management theme: "Discipline, responsibility; proactive, timely; accelerated, creative; effective, sustainable" and the theme of the Provincial Party Executive Committee is: "Improving competitiveness and satisfaction of people and businesses". In 2024, the province also set many key targets, notably the total provincial domestic product GRDP increasing from 8 to 8.5%, the growth rate of social labor productivity of 6.4%, export turnover of about 1,011 million USD, state budget revenue of 10,000 billion VND... In addition, the province will synchronously deploy solutions, focus on, and effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolutions and directions of the Central Committee, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, focusing on improving the PAR Index, SIPAS, PAPI, PCI & PGI, promoting administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment to ensure efficiency and substance. Promote digital transformation activities, develop digital government, digital economy and digital society in 2024, announce and implement the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, while accelerating the progress of implementation and disbursement of public investment capital, capital for socio-economic recovery and development programs, and capital for national target programs. Take advantage of and maximize the potential opportunities and comparative advantages of the province, effectively implement tasks and solutions to restructure the economy, especially the three pillars: Industry - tourism and agriculture, along with comprehensive development of cultural and social fields associated with ensuring social security, and effectively implementing people's health care.

The great achievements of the province in 2023 are fresh flowers offered to the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, a meaningful gift to welcome the new year 2024. Those achievements do not stop at numbers but also have much greater meaning because the more difficult the province is, the more it strives to rise. The greatest achievement is that it has created a new position and strength, a new vitality crystallized by "the Party's will, the people's heart" as a solid foundation for the province's development in the new journey.
