Useful playground
Endless applause, congratulations, and laughter mixed with the sounds of music, dances, and lively dances. That was the atmosphere recorded at the festival "Dance of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers" organized by the Provincial Civil Servants' Union.
They are still colleagues, civil servants, and public employees who work with files, books, computers, blackboards, and chalk every day, but today on stage they become graceful actors in dances and songs.
Together with the Provincial Civil Servants’ Union, for many months now, grassroots unions in the province have simultaneously organized dance festivals, creating an exciting and vibrant playground for union members and workers. From agencies, schools to businesses, all are filled with the sounds of music, singing, and laughter of non-professional performers.
Ms. Dao Ngoc, Provincial Tax Department shared: “To prepare for the festival, the Union organized the selection of actors, came up with ideas for the script, and directed the performance. After work, everyone gathered to practice. In the first days, we were not familiar with the movements, but everyone felt “stiff”, but gradually we got used to the movements and became more flexible, and the sisters even joked with each other like professional dancers. Those were really hard days but filled with laughter and relaxation after work.”
In fact, cultural activities, art exchanges, art programs, dance festivals, etc. organized by trade unions at all levels have attracted a large number of union members and workers to participate. At the programs, union members and workers not only have the opportunity to express their talents but also enjoy unique, elaborately staged, highly artistic performances. Through the programs, union members and workers have been immersed in a colorful cultural and artistic space with many emotional levels, thereby improving and enhancing their spiritual life.
During the recent Workers' Month, many units organized cultural and sports activities for union members and workers, attracting tens of thousands of union members, civil servants, and workers to participate.
Of which, 213 cultural and artistic activities attracted 13,323 union members and workers; 548 sports activities attracted 23,125 participants.
The Provincial Labor Culture House coordinated with the Labor Federations of districts, cities and towns to organize 7 performances and cultural exchanges incorporating legal education and dissemination at 7 units and enterprises in the province, attracting the attention of employers and the participation of over 4,000 union members and workers; 761 grassroots unions organized exchanges, sports competitions and cultural and artistic exchanges...
Cultural and sports activities have created a useful playground for union members and workers, helping to improve physical fitness and create more motivation for work.
Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Nhan - Phu Tho Matsuoka Co., Ltd. shared: We have played, had fun and enjoyed the ball together during the past few days. My friends and I are very happy, playing enthusiastically, supporting wholeheartedly to "de-stress" after working hours. We, the employees, always wish to have more fun sports playgrounds like this.

Strengthen solidarity and unity
Ms. Vu Thi Tuyet Lan - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cosmos 1 Technology Co., Ltd., Thuy Van Industrial Park, Viet Tri City shared: Workers always want to have more sports playgrounds and cultural and artistic activities. Sports competitions have helped workers feel happy and refreshed after working hours. Sports activities also play a great role in connecting workers with the trade union organization, helping workers to stay longer, contributing to stabilizing production, bringing sustainable development to the enterprise.
Since the beginning of the year, the Company's trade union has organized many activities attracting a large number of employees to participate, such as: Men's and women's tug of war competition on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8; men's football tournament; men's and women's relay race... In addition, the trade union has actively responded to activities organized by the higher-level trade union such as: Folk dance competition, competition for excellent safety and hygiene workers...
More and more agencies, units and enterprises are interested in and focus on investing in sports facilities to serve the needs of union members and workers. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), the Provincial Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation organized a signboard for the project "Volleyball Court".
Ths.BSCKII Dao Dinh Quang - Party Committee Secretary, Hospital Director affirmed: This is a project serving training, exchange, competition, creating conditions for cadres, civil servants, and workers to have a place for collective activities in the unit after each working day, helping to improve physical strength, build solidarity, and exchange between cadres and union members inside and outside the unit. The completed project demonstrates the position, role, and responsibility of union officials in organizing grassroots movement activities, accompanying in taking care of the physical and spiritual life of union members and workers of the union organization. Thereby promoting emulation movements contributing to the excellent completion of the unit's political tasks.
In order to improve the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers, in recent years, the Provincial Federation of Labor has focused on directing all levels of trade unions in the province to coordinate with the government, agencies and employers to regularly pay attention to and focus on investing in and building cultural institutions; develop and promulgate regulations, rules and regulations of agencies and units on office culture; strictly implement and comply with administrative discipline; regularly cultivate and practice ethical and lifestyle standards and organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities, creating a healthy and beneficial playground for union members and laborers.
Over the years, cultural, artistic and sports playgrounds have created opportunities for exchange, physical strength enhancement, solidarity and cohesion among units. Not only trade unions at all levels but also the political system has participated in organizing cultural, artistic and sports programs and activities towards diversifying recreational activities for union members and employees.
The activities have contributed to the right implementation of the goal of promoting the effectiveness of movements and activities to take care of the spirit of union members and workers in the direction of serving directly and to the right subjects, synchronously implementing responsibilities and beneficiaries, contributing to building a cultural lifestyle among union members and workers in the whole province.
