Hanoi buildings affected by strong earthquake from Myanmar

TPO - A 7.3 magnitude earthquake this afternoon (March 28) in Myanmar caused tremors in many neighboring countries, including Vietnam. People living in high-rise buildings in the capital Hanoi clearly felt the tremors of this earthquake.

At around 1:20 p.m. today (March 28), while taking a lunch break in the office, Ms. Le Thu Hoa (Hoang Mai, Hanoi) felt dizzy, and the fish tank near her desk started shaking. Many of Ms. Hoa's colleagues felt the same. About 10 minutes later, she continued to feel a slight tremor.

In many apartment buildings and office buildings in Hanoi, people clearly felt the earthquake 's tremors . Some people carried their children and ran down to the apartment lobby.

According to Dr. Le Xuan Anh, Director of the Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Center, at 1:20 p.m. (Hanoi time) this afternoon, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in Myanmar, causing tremors in many countries, including Vietnam.

On forums, many people from many other provinces and cities such as Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Son La... also shared that they clearly felt the tremors from this earthquake.

However, according to the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center, this earthquake is unlikely to cause damage in Vietnam.
