Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van emphasized that Dak Lak - where 49 ethnic groups gather together - is proud to be a land rich in potential and cultural advantages for socio-economic development, especially sustainable tourism development, effectively exploiting the values of natural resources, traditional culture and uniqueness of ethnic minorities in the province.
The activities at the Festival contribute to encouraging the people of 49 ethnic groups to continue to stand shoulder to shoulder, promote more strongly the spirit of solidarity, strive to rise up, help and support each other to build a prosperous and happy life; strive to preserve and introduce good cultural values to the people of the whole country, international friends and pass them on to the younger generation, join hands to build and develop a rich, civilized and unique Dak Lak province.
Taking place over 3 days (November 18-20), the festival includes the following activities: Performance of the "groom-welcoming" ritual of the Ede people; performance of typical and traditional cultural and artistic characteristics of ethnic groups; display and introduction of typical and outstanding cultural and tourism products; activities to introduce and promote tourism programs and products; processing and introducing traditional dishes and drinks of ethnic groups.
In addition, the Organizing Committee of the Festival also organized folk games; displayed art photos on the theme of elephants; workshop "Preserving and promoting national intangible cultural heritage: Longevity celebration of the M'nong people"; demonstrated open-air pottery; displayed documents on Dak Lak culture...
