(NLDO) - Binh Thuan needs to clearly identify growth drivers to further promote the local potential, advantages and strengths.
On the morning of March 8, Inspection Delegation No. 1923 of the Politburo and Secretariat, led by Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, had a working session with the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
The inspection delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, representatives of the Central Inspection Commission and departments and branches of the Party Central Committee and the Government Office.
At the meeting, the representative of the Central Inspection Commission announced the decision of the Politburo and the Secretariat to inspect the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
The Inspection Delegation of the Politburo and the Secretariat led by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh worked with the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.
Accordingly, there are 4 inspection contents: The summary of Resolution 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently" and Conclusion 121-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Party Central Committee on summarizing Resolution 18, associated with the establishment and operation of new Party Committees.
Organizing the implementation of Directive 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party and Conclusion 118-KL/TW dated January 18, 2025 adjusting and supplementing a number of contents of Directive 35.
Thoroughly implementing and organizing the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Implementation of Conclusion 123-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Party Central Committee on the Supplementary Project on socio-economic development in 2025 with the growth target of 8% or more.
At the meeting, Mr. Dang Hong Sy, Standing Deputy Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, briefly reported the main contents as requested by the inspection team regarding the arrangement of a streamlined apparatus, effective and efficient operations; preparations for Party congresses at all levels and solutions to achieve GRDP growth of 8% or more in 2025.
Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee also recommended to the working delegation some issues and difficulties that the province is facing.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh asked Binh Thuan to clearly identify growth drivers.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that this merger is a major policy of the Party and Government, aiming to create strength and make the apparatus operate more effectively, efficiently and effectively.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh requested Binh Thuan to look directly at the reality of the province to find solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles; promote strengths to invest in development, serve people and businesses better.
Regarding the solution of growth of 8% or more, the First Deputy Prime Minister requested Binh Thuan to clearly identify growth drivers to further promote the potential, advantages and strengths of the locality. It is necessary to renew old growth drivers, such as agriculture, industry, tourism, services, etc.; at the same time, seek and promote new growth drivers, such as digital transformation, semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence (AI), renewable energy, high-end services, etc.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on removing, resolving and thoroughly handling 36 local projects with outstanding issues, especially energy projects; promptly put these projects and resources into service for socio-economic development tasks, avoiding loss and waste of assets.
Further promote decentralization, accelerate disbursement progress and implement key projects, which are the driving force for local development.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister noted that Binh Thuan should closely follow the Central Government’s direction when arranging the grassroots government. He requested that the province should do a good job of political and ideological work among cadres and party members; ensure that the activities of the entire political system are smooth and continuous, without affecting the provision of public services to people and businesses.
