Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province, said that the compensation and clearance work of the North-South Expressway project through the province related to the main route has been completed; only the expressway rest stops remain. The Ministry of Transport will hand over to the Provincial People's Committee in November 2024.

“Currently, Hoai Nhon and Phu My rest stops are preparing for investment and compensation; it is expected that in January 2025, the entire clean surface of the two rest stop projects will be handed over to the investor for implementation,” Mr. Hoang informed.

Previously, on December 6, 2024, the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Hoai Nhon town and Phu My district to direct relevant units to urgently focus on implementing compensation and support for site clearance for rest stops serving the North-South expressway in the East through the province (Rest stop at Km77+820, Hoai Nhon town and Rest stop at Km35+500, Phu My district).

The required completion time for handing over clean site to Project Management Boards 2 and 85 (investors) is before January 5, 2025.

At the same time, the two localities inspected and reviewed the 2025 land use plan to ensure land recovery procedures within the scope of influence of the rest stop project according to regulations.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant Departments and branches to actively coordinate and support the People's Committee of Hoai Nhon town and the People's Committee of Phu My district to promptly resolve problems in compensation and support for site clearance for the above-mentioned rest stops.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Province requested the Management Board of Projects 2 and 85 to actively coordinate with relevant localities to resolve problems arising in the process of implementing compensation and support for site clearance for the two rest stops.
