Tourists flock to the beaches

Coming to Thuan An beach on the first day of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, you can feel the bustling atmosphere when convoys of cars take people and tourists to the beaches. Along with that is the bustling atmosphere at restaurants and eateries preparing infrastructure and food to welcome tourists.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi An, the owner of a restaurant at the public beach, compared to previous years, this year's holiday has seen a much larger number of visitors to Thuan An beach, so the number of visitors enjoying seafood has also increased dramatically. Therefore, the establishment has mobilized more staff and increased the amount of food to better meet the needs of customers.

Tourists enjoy "checking in" on the clean, cool beach

Chairman of Thuan An Ward People's Committee, Mr. Dao Quang Hung said that in order to better serve the people and tourists during this year's beach tourism season, since March 2025, the ward has invested in completing the infrastructure of the beaches, including upgrading traffic routes, installing lighting systems, beautifying the beaches, and investing in two free freshwater bathing areas to serve tourists.

Along with infrastructure renovation work, from April 28 to 30, the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward organized the program "Thuan An sea calls" with many meaningful programs and activities to promote the brand and position of Hue - ASEAN clean tourism city, Festival City of Vietnam, at the same time continuing and promoting the achievements of Hue Festivals.

According to Mr. Hung, the Thuan An Sea Program is an annual activity, this is an event to honor and promote the folk cultural identity of coastal residents, contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of Hue city in terms of economy, culture, tourism and sustainable development prospects; thereby calling on domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to invest in Thuan An in particular and Hue city in general to promote socio-economic development in the area, especially the marine economy.

“Thuan An is a beautiful, clean beach with a long coastline and many attractive specialties. Unlike before, now coming to Thuan An, I feel more hospitable, friendly and civilized when the locality has invested in a free freshwater shower system, there is a separate area for tourists to eat and drink, so the beach is quite clean. The attitude of serving customers at restaurants and eateries has also changed completely when the eateries all list prices and sell at the listed prices, so I feel quite secure," said Ms. Hanh Minh, a tourist from Quang Binh.

As one of the impressive beaches in Hue city, Thuan An beach has been and is an attractive destination for tourists when many works and projects have been and are being invested in, not only contributing to the completion of infrastructure, but also shortening the distance to the beaches. In particular, the bridge project across Thuan An estuary is considered an impressive highlight, promising to promote the development of the marine economy in general and attract visitors to the beaches in Thuan An ward in particular to create momentum for the development of the marine economy and lagoons in the area.
