EXO's Choreographer Reveals His Income

Before becoming a choreographer, Kasper was on the list of promising trainees in Kpop. However, now, he has become one of the most sought-after choreographers in Kpop. He creates choreography for many famous Korean groups such as EXO, Stray Kids and SHINee.

According to Kasper, after 7 years as a trainee, he gave up his dream of becoming a singer and focused on choreography, becoming a dancer. His first salary was quite small, only about 200,000 KRW (about 156 USD) a month.

However, the male choreographer is now earning about 70 million KRW (about 54,700 USD) per month, 35 times more than his initial salary. “I am satisfied with my lifestyle now,” he shared.

Kasper admits that this salary also corresponds to the pressure and how busy he is. Mid-year is when artists prepare for their comebacks and release the most music products. This is also the peak period for choreographers. He has to work day and night, creating exclusive dances for famous bands.

However, the Korean media commented that Kasper's popularity and salary were worthy of his efforts. His unique choreography has become a staple of Kpop and is characterized by its strength, flexibility, always capturing the spirit of the song and the characteristics of the artists' performance.

On the Korean Herald, the male choreographer said that because he was a trainee, he understood the needs of artists. Therefore, he was able to catch up easily and differentiate himself from other choreographers.

Kasper's real name is Kim Taewoo, born in 1992, is a choreographer with 15 years of experience. He is known as one of the main dancers of SM Entertainment, and is also the creator of many famous dance performances for the company's groups.
