The City Labor Federation currently has 105 grassroots trade union organizations with 5,028 union members. In 2023, the City Labor Federation has made efforts to take good care of the material and spiritual lives of workers. The city's trade unions at all levels have mobilized resources to visit and support 3,667 gifts for union members and their children in difficult circumstances or with serious illnesses with a total amount of over 1.7 billion VND.

Activities such as “Tet Sum Vay”, Workers’ Month and other holidays, and union member welfare programs are being implemented with attention; they are becoming more and more practical, effective, and meaningful in taking care of the material and spiritual lives of workers.

The City Labor Federation also coordinates with all levels and sectors to participate in building, proposing and supplementing policies and regimes related to workers, especially policies on employment, income, residential land, housing, social insurance, health insurance, etc.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the City Labor Federation mobilized 700 gifts worth nearly 600 million VND to take care of the Tet holiday for union members and give gifts to disadvantaged workers of affiliated grassroots unions.

At the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing" in 2024, the City Labor Federation presented 180 Tet gifts with a total value of 164 million VND; 100 union members with difficult circumstances or achievements in labor and production were awarded 100 credit cards (each card worth 300,000 VND) to purchase goods on the e-commerce trading floor "2024 Trade Union Tet Market" of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Within the framework of the program, the City Labor Federation also called on businesses to support the “Zero-VND Booth” with nearly 50 items of essential products worth about 30 million VND. 200 union members and workers in difficult circumstances will be given shopping vouchers (each voucher worth 150,000 VND) to choose their own Tet items at the “Zero-VND Booth”.
