On June 20, Mo Duc District Police said they are continuing to verify and investigate to clarify the theft of suspect Pham Dinh Cong (30 years old, in village 1, Duc Chanh commune, Mo Duc district).

Recently, in Mo Duc district, there have been many cases of motorbike and chicken theft with sophisticated methods, causing panic among the people. In response to this situation, Mo Duc district police coordinated with police from communes in the area to collect information and investigate the cases.

At 1:30 a.m. on June 17, while patrolling a road in Phuoc Dien village (Duc Hoa commune, Mo Duc district), the police force discovered that Pham Dinh Cong had suspicious signs and asked him to stop his motorbike for inspection. Upon inspection, the police force discovered that Cong had tools such as pliers, flashlights, etc. on him, so they invited him to the police headquarters for questioning.

At the police station, faced with undeniable evidence, Cong confessed.

Pham Dinh Cong openly took advantage of the late night when people were off guard, using specialized tools to cut wire fences, breaking into people's homes and committing 6 motorbike thefts and 7 chicken thefts (with nearly 130 chickens) in the communes of Duc Chanh, Duc Nhuan, Duc Hoa, Duc Minh, Duc Thanh in Mo Duc District. Cong sold all the stolen property to get money for personal use.

According to police records, Cong has two previous convictions for theft.
