The press is a multilateral bridge in creating a legal framework for the asset market.

On August 8 in Hanoi , the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Asset Association (VBA) organized a training course on "Legal framework and identification of crypto-asset fraud" for reporters and journalists from reputable domestic and foreign press, television and media agencies.

The program aims to update the legal framework, provide market information, blockchain application models in Vietnam, as well as improve skills in identifying fraudulent behaviors in the field of crypto assets in particular and the digital asset market in general.

Blockchain and Digital Assets are an area with unprecedented rapid development. In addition to being used to create transparent and efficient financial models, this technology is also exploited as a cover for sophisticated fraud models, leading to huge losses for global users and Vietnam is no exception.

According to the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05, Ministry of Public Security ), since the beginning of 2025, Vietnam has detected nearly 1,500 cases of online fraud, causing losses of more than VND 1,660 billion. Of which, activities related to virtual currency and cryptocurrency transactions alone amounted to more than 1,500 channels and groups.

Cyber attacks are also becoming more dangerous. From 2024 to now, functional units have detected over 42 million cyber attack warnings and 420,000 warnings of malware detection targeting information systems.

Mr. Pham Gia Khanh, Chief Technology Officer of NippyLabs, gave 5 signs of high risk. One of the common warnings is the commitment of profits exceeding 15% per year - an unrealistic interest rate often used to attract inexperienced investors.

"You also need to be careful with tokens that have almost no clear information on mainstream media channels or social networks, or investment invitations in fields that you have never researched such as meme coins, DeFi, Layer 1, Layer 2. In addition, tokens introduced by individuals or groups of new acquaintances but without public information, only advertised in closed groups or related to multi-level models or KOLs on social networks, ... are all important notes that need to be widely communicated to the community," Mr. Khanh warned.

In that context, according to the VBA representative, the press and media increasingly demonstrate their important role, both as a multilateral bridge between state agencies, businesses, communities and the world , contributing to promoting the process of creating a legal framework, and at the same time making an important contribution to identifying, preventing and minimizing the risk of fraud in the digital asset market.

Mr. Phan Duc Trung - Chairman of VBA, Chairman of 1Matrix Company emphasized the key role of the press in guiding public opinion, supporting investors and contributing to building a healthy digital asset ecosystem in Vietnam.

"In the era of strong digitalization, the press is not only a channel for transmitting information but also an important multilateral bridge, helping to connect Policy Makers - Government - Enterprises and the Community. At the same time, the press and media also play a role in orienting public opinion in a positive direction, contributing to shaping and raising awareness, helping the community keep up with the development of new technologies, helping to protect the interests of the community, contributing to building a safe, transparent and sustainable digital asset ecosystem in Vietnam," said Mr. Trung.

Within the framework of the program, Dr. Do Van Thuat, Director of Blockchain Solutions and Architecture of 1Matrix Company, also introduced the initial results of the Vietnam Blockchain Multi-Chain Service Network (VBSN) built towards the goal of Vietnamese people fully mastering data and technology, according to the commitment at the 6th Vietnam Digital Technology Enterprise Development National Forum.

According to Dr. Do Van Thuat, Vietnam Blockchain Multi-Chain Service Network (VBSN) has similar characteristics to EBSI (Blockchain Service Infrastructure Network shared by 29 European countries) and BSN (China Blockchain Service Network).

VBSN is designed according to a 5-layer architectural model, aiming to provide comprehensive, low-cost, easy-to-deploy, and easy-to-customize blockchain solutions according to specific needs, serving businesses - public and private service organizations.

According to Mr. Thuat, if in the past, businesses might have to spend tens to hundreds of thousands of USD and 1-3 months to code a new Layer 1, now, with VBSN, units only need less than an hour to create a completely new Layer 1.

"I believe that VBSN will help solve many current and future problems of Vietnam, including in public data management or promoting the private sector economy," Mr. Thuat affirmed./.
