Bac Ninh: Welcoming and congratulating female student who won Bronze Medal at International Math Olympiad

On behalf of the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province, Mr. Doan Xuan Thanh presented flowers to congratulate Truong Thanh Xuan and the teachers participating in the delegation. Mr. Doan Xuan Thanh emphasized that this is a great source of pride because Thanh Xuan is studying in grade 11 and is the only female student on the Vietnam IMO team from 2020 to present.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province believes that Thanh Xuan still has many opportunities to shine at the national excellent student selection exam and the International Mathematical Olympiad in the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Thanking the leaders of the Department of Education and Training and teachers, Truong Thanh Xuan shared that the exam was not only an opportunity for him to experience an intensive mathematical environment, but also to meet and connect with global mathematical talents. As reported, at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025 held in Australia from July 10 to 20, 2025, the Vietnamese delegation had 6/6 contestants winning prizes including 2 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal. Truong Thanh Xuan, grade 11 Math 1 student at Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, won a Bronze Medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025.

In 2025, Bac Ninh is honored to have 3 candidates participating in the Asian and European Olympic competitions in Physics and Chemistry, winning 2 Gold Medals and 1 Certificate of Merit. 3 candidates participated in the International Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, including Ngo Quang Minh winning the Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad; Truong Thanh Xuan winning the Bronze Medal at the International Mathematics Olympiad; Nguyen Cong Vinh is participating in the 51st International Physics Olympiad in France from July 17 to 25, 2025.
