Both AC Milan and Barcelona fielded their strongest lineups in the friendly match taking place in Las Vegas (USA) on August 2.
Both teams started strongly from the start, but Barcelona created the first dangerous chance in the 12th minute when Kounde's shot from outside the box unfortunately hit the post and went wide.
AC Milan also responded with beautiful attacking situations, but the lack of precision in the final finishing of Reijnders and Leao when facing goalkeeper Pena in the 18th and 44th minutes meant that the Serie A team still could not find the goal they needed.
Entering the second half, striker Ansu Fati, once considered a "child prodigy" of Spanish football, had a beautiful solo performance on the left wing in the 55th minute, before entering the penalty area and unleashing a classy shot that defeated goalkeeper Maignan to open the score for Barcelona.
The goal forced AC Milan to raise their attacking formation to find an equalizer, creating opportunities for Barcelona to launch many sharp counter-attacks.
Unfortunately, the Catalan team still could not score more goals, but still maintained a narrow 1-0 victory over AC Milan until the end of the match.
The victory saw Barcelona end their US tour with two wins and one loss (a loss to Arsenal and wins over Real Madrid and AC Milan), while AC Milan returned to Italy after a defeat to Real Madrid and a draw with Juventus.
Barcelona will start the new La Liga season on August 13 at Getafe, while AC Milan have to wait another week for their Serie A opener at Bologna on August 21.
