The 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship has officially ended with the championship belonging to U23 Vietnam, affirming the overwhelming position of the "golden star warriors" in the regional playground.
After winning the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien became the center of attention not only because of his impressive performance in the final match but also because of his outstanding physique with a height of 1m91.
Trung Kien has an impressive height of 1.91 m - a significant advantage in the role of guarding the goal. As one of three goalkeepers selected by coach Kim Sang-sik to bring to Indonesia, he has proven himself worthy of the coaching staff's trust. Trung Kien impresses with his strong jumping ability, quick reflexes, and reasonable positioning and entry and exit.
During the journey of U23 Vietnam at U23 Southeast Asia 2025, Tran Trung Kien played consistently, making many excellent saves, especially in the semi-finals and finals. During the tournament, Trung Kien started 4 matches and only had to pick the ball out of the net 2 times.
Belonging to Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club, Trung Kien won the title of "Best Goalkeeper" at the 2023 National U21 Tournament and was in the squad that won the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
