65 students participate in the continuing education program for breastfeeding

On the morning of July 28, Kien Giang Medical College in collaboration with Kien Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital opened the K1 2025 continuing education program on breastfeeding.

Students attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 K1 Continuing Education Breastfeeding Training Program.

The continuing education program on breastfeeding took place from July 28 to 30, 2025, with 65 participants, including 2 parts: theory and practice.

In theory, students are trained at Kien Giang Medical College with contents such as benefits of breastfeeding; nutrition for postpartum mothers; breastfeeding in some special cases; feeding premature and underweight babies with breast milk...

In the practical part, students practice directly at Kien Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, including the following contents: Practice breastfeeding properly; care for mothers with blocked milk ducts; massage of mammary glands for postpartum mothers and hand-expressing milk.

The class aims to update and improve students' knowledge and skills on breastfeeding, while responding to World Breastfeeding Week (from August 1 to 7, 2025).

Students receive a knowledge test before receiving the theory part.
