Two gangsters 'Hoan Xuyen' father and son in Lam Dong were arrested

On May 15, the Investigation Police Agency of Di Linh District, Lam Dong Province, issued decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Van Hoan (aka Hoan “Xuyen”, 48 years old) and his son Nguyen Hoang Viet Anh (22 years old) to investigate the act of disturbing public order. Authorities said they are consolidating the case file to prosecute Mr. Hoan and his son for the act of intentionally causing injury.

Hoan "Xuyen" is known as one of the most influential people in Di Linh district. This person has many criminal records for "Intentionally causing injury".

On May 9, Mr. Hoan used a tractor carrying many people carrying knives and machetes to a plot of land in Tan Lam commune, slashing Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khai (48 years old, residing in Loc Duc commune, Bao Lam district) and seriously injuring him.

The reason was determined to be that in 2022, Mr. Hoan leased the forest land (area 135) to Mr. Khai to grow durian.

According to the agreement, Mr. Hoan leased the above land to Mr. Khai to grow durian for 10 years. At first, when planting, Mr. Hoan left the seedlings and fertilizer. After renting for a year, Mr. Hoan wanted to reclaim the land, so the two sides had a conflict.

On the afternoon of May 9, Mr. Hoan led many people to the plot of land and a fight broke out. Here, Mr. Hoan's group used machetes to chase and slash Mr. Khai, injuring him.
