Urgent requirements in the context of international sports integration

This is a necessary step in the context of Vietnamese sports increasingly integrating deeply with the region and the world, requiring stronger and more comprehensive investment in human resources to maintain and improve achievements.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong affirmed that current policies under Decree 152/2018/ND-CP and Decree 36/2019/ND-CP have contributed to creating great motivation for coaches and athletes to confidently dedicate themselves and contribute to the impressive achievements of Vietnamese sports.

The development of a new Decree is identified as an urgent task, aiming to synchronously, comprehensively and clearly adjust policies on salary, bonus, nutrition, insurance, post-retirement vocational training, medical care... for coaches, athletes and sports medical staff.

The draft aims to create a solid legal corridor, ensure legitimate rights, improve material and spiritual life, as well as create a transparent legal foundation for policies to be effectively implemented in practice.

Besides, this is also a step to concretize the major policies of the Party and State on developing sports human resources in the new period - gradually realizing the Strategy for developing Vietnam's sports to 2030, vision 2045.
