(Dan Tri) - The leader of a commune in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, said that he is inviting many people to identify the owner of the land near the cemetery that the subjects rented to build a factory to produce 1.4 tons of drugs.
On March 28, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, the leader of Vinh Luong commune (Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province) said that the locality is clarifying the owner of the land that the subjects rented to build a factory to produce 1.4 tons of drugs.
"We are inviting some related households to identify the owner of the land. Once the locality is identified, a report will be sent to Nha Trang city," said the leader of Vinh Luong commune.

According to an official working in Nha Trang city, the land where the drug factory is located is agricultural land. The constructions on this land are all illegal and are under the jurisdiction of the People's Committee of Vinh Luong commune.
According to records, on March 28, the authorities continued to block off and protect the scene at a 1,000m2 plot of land in the Northern cemetery and house number 47 in Cat Loi village, Vinh Luong commune, Nha Trang city - where the equipment to produce 1.4 tons of drugs was located.
The workshop location in the northern cemetery is uninhabited, located more than 500m from the cemetery area, less than 1km from National Highway 1 and nearly 10km from Nha Trang city center; house number 47 in Cat Loi village is located right in the residential area, facing National Highway 1.

People often pass by the cemetery area, the green house with drug production equipment is usually closed during the day so residents do not detect anything unusual.
According to Mr. Thi, a coffee shop owner who lives near house number 47 in Cat Loi village, this place used to be a small garment factory, but due to ineffective business, the owner rented it out. Since the end of last year, he and his wife have occasionally seen trucks coming and going.
"We thought they were trading seafood, who would have thought!", Mr. Thi said.
According to information from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Ministry of Public Security, in 2021, Truong Xuan Minh (51 years old, Taiwanese - Chinese) came to Vietnam, creating a cover for investing in business and raising ornamental fish.
In November 2024, Truong Xuan Minh asked someone to rent a 1,000m2 plot of land in the Northern cemetery and house number 47 in Cat Loi village to use as a drug production facility.
After that, the "boss" continued to hire workers to install factories and purchase equipment to serve the production of banned substances.

Using many professional measures, at 0:00 on March 22, nearly 200 police officers and soldiers simultaneously raided drug production facilities in Nha Trang, arresting many subjects.
At the scene, authorities seized a total of 1.4 tons of ketamine and nearly 80 tons of chemicals.
According to a recent announcement, the investigation agency has arrested 11 subjects, including 4 Chinese subjects, 3 Taiwanese subjects (China), and 4 Vietnamese subjects.
