Passion fruit garden being harvested was destroyed by thieves

On September 22, Tan Thanh Commune Police, Lam Ha District, Lam Dong coordinated with relevant agencies to investigate the case of a household's passion fruit garden being destroyed by thieves.

According to information, on the morning of September 20, when visiting the garden, Mr. Vu Dinh Dung (42 years old, residing in Tan Hop village, Tan Thanh commune) and his wife were shocked to see many passion fruit trees cut in half. Mr. Dung also discovered 3 sections of B40 steel mesh fence were cut off.

Upon inspection, Mr. Dung discovered that 325 passion fruit trees had been cut down and could not be restored. All damaged plants were in the harvesting stage.

According to Mr. Dung, his family planted a total of 450 passion fruit trees on an area of ​​0.5 hectares of garden, of which 325 were cut down. Before the destruction, Mr. Dung's family harvested over 1 ton of fruit every day, selling it to purchasing facilities for 20,000 VND/kg.
