In Da Lat City (Lam Dong), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) attended the annual member conference organized by Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) and was honored as an outstanding member in securities depository activities in 2024.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Bui Hoang Hai - Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission; Mr. Nguyen Son - Chairman of the Board of Members of VSDC; Ms. Ta Thanh Binh - General Director of VSDC, representatives of the State Bank, representatives of the Vietnam Securities Business Association, the Institute of Corporate Governance, the Institute of Internal Audit, and representatives of the functional Departments of the State Securities Commission and all members of VSDC from securities companies and custodian banks with large market shares. At the Conference, delegates listened to a summary report on the coordination of business operations between VSDC and its members in 2024 and VSDC's work orientation for 2025. In 2024, the Vietnamese stock market had fluctuations, alternating increases and decreases but still ensured stable growth, safety, transparency and maintained liquidity. Thanks to the attention and close direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the State Securities Commission and the active and synchronous coordination of relevant units, in 2024, VSDC has performed well the professional activities of registration, depository, clearing and payment of securities, fund services, management of information of securities owners, supervision of compliance with members' obligations in accordance with regulations, ensuring that VSDC's operations take place smoothly, safely and without any incidents for the stock market and for investors. Other contents such as green finance, central counterparty (CCP) mechanism in securities trading, ESG, digital transformation... were also presented by speakers who are representatives of VSDC members at the Conference, in which Vietcombank's presentation on the CCP mechanism was commented to have mentioned practical issues in the context of the Securities Law and sub-law documents being considered for amendment to be able to officially implement CCP, creating conditions for international organizations to consider upgrading the market for the State Securities Commission. In 2025, the State Securities Commission will continue to carry out many tasks aiming to develop the market in both breadth and depth, focusing more on the quality of market operations in addition to developing market scale. Also at the Conference, VSDC honored outstanding members in 2024 in securities depository activities; payment activities for underlying securities transactions and payment activities for derivative securities transactions. Vietcombank is honored to be voted in the top 10 outstanding depository members in securities depository activities, ranking first among domestic depository banks in terms of the number of securities deposited at VSDC. Also at the Conference, VSDC honored the outstanding member in 2024 in securities depository activities; payment activities for underlying securities transactions and payment activities for derivative securities transactions.
