Provincial People's Committee deploys key tasks in the second quarter

On March 27, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to review the direction and management of socio-economic development in the first quarter and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2024. Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Long Bien and Le Huyen.

In the first quarter, the Provincial People's Committee closely followed the direction of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee, focusing on directing and operating the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security. The total provincial domestic product reached over VND 5,800 billion, up 8.26% over the same period. The fields of construction, trade, tourism, energy, and industry grew quite well; of which, the value of industry and construction was VND 2,102 billion, up 13.23%; services was VND 2,151 billion, up 6.66%. The agricultural and rural economy maintained stable growth; the scale of high-tech agricultural production exceeded the target; the added value of agriculture, forestry and fishery reached VND 1,299 billion, up 4.34%. State budget revenue is estimated at VND 1,207 billion, reaching 30.2% of the plan, up 36.3% over the same period. The management of natural resources and environment, development investment, and disbursement of public investment capital are focused on and promoted. Key and dynamic projects are focused on and accelerated. Administrative reform and digital transformation are focused on and directed strongly. Education, health care, and social security policies are well implemented. National defense, security, and social order and safety are ensured.

In the second quarter, the Provincial People's Committee set out 12 socio-economic development tasks; focusing on a number of key tasks: Continuing to closely follow, drastically and effectively implement the goals and tasks according to Resolution 01 of the Government, Resolution 28 of the Provincial Party Committee and Decision 36 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the main tasks and solutions to implement the Socio-Economic Development Plan and the State budget estimate for 2024 in the province. Closely forecast the situation, proactively develop scenarios to promptly adjust the development orientation with appropriate and feasible solutions to ensure flexible adaptation to reality. Focus on effectively and substantially implementing economic restructuring associated with growth model innovation; restructuring sectors and fields. Successfully organize the Conference to announce the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 associated with investment promotion. Continue to innovate investment promotion work; Strongly improve the investment and business environment, perfect mechanisms and policies to attract investment in the province. Strictly manage and effectively implement solutions to collect budget revenue. Synchronously and effectively implement policies and guidelines on education, health, social security, and meritorious people. Continue to consolidate and reorganize the apparatus of administrative agencies at all levels; build e-government; strongly and sustainably improve the province's administrative procedure reform indicators. The sectors of Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry - Construction, Trade - Services strive to maintain good growth rates. In particular, the Agriculture sector focuses on developing a plan to respond to the El Nino phenomenon to create new values, ensuring the efficiency of livestock production, cultivation, and aquaculture. In addition, all levels and functional sectors pay attention to focusing on removing difficulties for the processing industry and some renewable energy projects. Timely guide and support investors to promptly complete construction procedures to implement urban and tourism projects; Speed ​​up the construction progress of Dam Ca Na urban project, Bac Song Dinh, Phu Ha, key tourism projects, invest in industrial cluster infrastructure, projects in Du Long and Phuoc Nam industrial parks. Unleash resources from land. Continue to implement solutions to promote tourism, stimulate demand to attract visitors. Focus on fully and promptly implementing social security policies, national target programs; vocational training, job creation.
