Mobile propaganda in response to World Population Day 11 7

On the morning of July 11, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning organized mobile parades on main roads of districts and cities to promote World Population Day on July 11, 2024.

In 1994, at the International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo, 179 countries, including Vietnam, adopted a Program of Action with a broad vision in the field of population and development.

During the 30 years of implementing the Action Program, Vietnam has achieved many successes: the population growth rate has been successfully controlled, our country entered the golden population period since 2007; average life expectancy has increased rapidly, the stature and physical strength of Vietnamese people have improved, and the quality of life of the people has been raised in many aspects.

However, population work in the coming time will face many difficulties and challenges, such as: the risk of not achieving the goal of maintaining replacement fertility nationwide; rapid population aging and soon becoming an aging country; the sex ratio at birth remains high; the situation of early marriage and consanguineous marriage is still slow to be overcome; population quality, especially in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas, is still limited.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the Action Program on Population and Development, commemorating World Population Day on July 11, 2024 in Vietnam with the theme "Investing in population work is investing in sustainable development", the Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning organized a mobile parade with the slogan: "Let the birth of a boy or a girl follow the natural law"; "Improving population quality for rapid and sustainable national development"; "Enhancing reproductive health care for quality of life and family happiness".

This is one of the practical activities to strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the coordination of departments, branches, organizations and the response of all classes of people in implementing and completing the population and development goals. Propagating the opportunities and challenges of global population, Vietnam's population and Ninh Binh province's population; priority contents and tasks and solutions in the coming time.
