To serve the needs of the people, this station only needs to operate one assembly line. Many inspectors are leisurely sitting, resting, waiting for customers.

Mr. Bui Van Hieu (residing in La Khe Ward, Ha Dong District) said that his vehicle inspection was only a few days away, so he was very worried about having to wait in line. However, when he arrived at the 33-01S Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, Mr. Hieu was surprised by the deserted scene.

“A few days ago, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get the inspection done on time because the centers were all crowded and overloaded, and I had to quit my job and wait in line. But then the new regulation came into effect, cars with less than 9 seats that are not in business are automatically granted a 6-month extension to their inspection, making the inspection process quicker and easier. This morning, I brought my car in and it was put into the line for inspection,” Hieu shared.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 6, at the 29-01S Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (Xuan Dinh Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi), cars coming for inspection could enter the assembly line immediately, without having to wait in line.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Hong (residing in Tay Ho District, Hanoi) said that he arrived at the 29-01S Motor Vehicle Inspection Center early after registering for inspection online. “I find that registering for inspection online is a very civilized, time-saving, and simple thing to do. The appointment was from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., so I arrived a little early to line up and wait for my turn,” Mr. Hong shared.

At the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 29-03S on Le Quang Dao Street (Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi), the traffic jam is no longer there. Many vehicle owners, after looking up, viewing and printing the certificate of validity of the certificate and inspection stamp, called the center to cancel their appointment.

The inspection center is now more spacious, a stark contrast to the atmosphere a few days ago. The parking area, which used to be packed with cars waiting in line for inspection, now has only 5-7 cars waiting their turn.

“Many drivers told me that today is a less crowded and faster day to bring my car for inspection, so I didn’t hesitate to travel more than 14 km from Hoang Mai District (Hanoi) to get here for inspection. The inspection is quick and easy, I only have to wait a few minutes to get into the line,” said a car driver.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Director of the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 29-27D (Co Nhue 1 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi), after Circular 08/2023/TT-BGTVT was issued, the congestion at the center no longer occurred. Every day, the center issues inspection certificates for about 40 - 50 vehicles.

“Compared to before, the number of vehicles inspected has decreased by half. This will of course affect the center’s revenue. However, we are excited that the congestion at the registration center has been resolved,” Mr. Dung said.
