Currently, the Center provides emergency services such as: Receiving subjects in need of emergency protection; Assessing the needs of subjects, screening and classifying subjects. If necessary, connecting and transferring subjects to medical facilities, education, police, judicial agencies or other appropriate agencies and organizations; Ensuring the safety and meeting the urgent needs of subjects such as: temporary residence, food, clothing and transportation.

In addition, the Quang Ninh Provincial Social Work Center also provides consultation, treatment of mental disorders, psychological crises and physical rehabilitation for subjects. Provides consultation and assistance to subjects receiving social assistance policies; coordinates with other appropriate agencies and organizations to protect and assist subjects; searches for and arranges forms of care. Develops intervention and assistance plans for subjects; monitors and reviews intervention and assistance activities and adjusts plans.

At the same time, provide social education services to help subjects develop the ability to solve problems themselves, including parenting skills education for those in need; life skills training for children and minors; counseling and consultation for perpetrators of violence; people with social problems (social evils, violence, divorce...).

Cooperate with training institutions to organize training courses on social work for staff, social work collaborators or officers and employees working at social work service centers; Organize training courses and seminars to provide knowledge and skills for groups in need. Research, investigate, and survey issues related to social work tasks...

Located in the central area of ​​Ha Long city - a bustling tourist city, with a rather modest area, the Quang Ninh Provincial Social Work Center has arranged offices for officers and employees of the Center as well as assessment, screening; intervention, therapy; exercise training rooms for subjects in need of social assistance in a scientific and orderly manner.

Shade trees and ornamental plants planted around the houses not only beautify the natural landscape but also help regulate the air, softening the harsh sunlight of a mountainous area bordering the sea.

The Center's leadership regularly educates and reminds staff about the awareness of protecting the common environment, not littering, dumping garbage in designated places, protecting and taking care of trees, preventing waste of electricity and water, cleaning and tidying personal work areas... Thereby, the awareness and responsibility of staff for environmental preservation and protection are increasingly enhanced.

Thanks to the awareness of environmental protection and clean workplace hygiene, the number of people coming to the Quang Ninh Provincial Social Work Center for consultation, intervention, therapy and support is increasing day by day.

Speaking to reporters of the Labor and Social Affairs Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huy, Head of the Consulting - Assistance and Administration Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Social Work Center, said: In the first 6 months of 2023, the Center provided direct counseling at the Center and in the community for 33 cases of violence, depression, families with autistic children, mental disorders, etc. Currently, the subjects have basically resolved the problem and are psychologically stable.

Provide emergency support to 08 cases. The Center promptly and quickly provided emergency intervention and support to subjects, ensuring their basic and legitimate rights; minimizing risks to themselves, their families and society.

From the beginning of 2023 to the end of July 2023, the Quang Ninh Provincial Social Work Center also screened and evaluated 31 children with signs of autism and mental disorders, achieving more than 200% of the 2023 target.
