“Return to the sacred moment” recreates a historical moment

The project "Returning to the Sacred Moment" uses VR and AI technology to recreate a truly authentic historical moment. People can "travel through time and space", fully feel the sacred and proud atmosphere, and listen to President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The project is chaired by Voice of Vietnam Radio , assigned to VTC News Electronic Newspaper to coordinate with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT).

Visitors will be taken back in time to stand at the exact location 80 years ago when President Ho Chi Minh stood on the podium reading the Declaration of Independence, in a solemn and emotional atmosphere amid the applause and response of tens of thousands of compatriots, raising their hands to swear to protect the Fatherland.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Director of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology shared: "All of our technological resources are concentrated so that the audience can have the most realistic experience."

The entire scene of Ba Dinh Square in 1945 was meticulously recreated using virtual reality technology. With modern VR glasses, the user will be able to freely move in the 3D virtual space, interact with actions, and immerse themselves in the historical scene of the nation.

Visitors can also chat and interact with a virtual editor using artificial intelligence, vividly displayed in Holobox. This virtual character introduces in detail the content related to National Day September 2 and directly answers questions about the formation and development of VOV through each historical period.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai, Hanoi, who is over 70 years old this year, is one of those who came to experience the project. Unable to hide her emotion when reliving the sacred and heroic atmosphere of 80 years ago, she said: “I just wanted to turn in a direction to see Uncle Ho. When the video said “I swear”, I wanted to shout along. It was really touching.”

From memories restored with modern technology, the exhibition not only arouses national pride, but also inspires and fosters patriotism and the desire for peace in future generations and affirms belief in a future of development and prosperity for the country.

Nguyen Phuong Anh, a third-year student at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, shared: “This is the first time I feel like I am living on the historic day of September 2nd. Today I really feel like I am standing in Ba Dinh Square, among a sea of people sharing the same ideals. I feel proud and even more responsible for the country."

The VR experience project “Returning to the sacred moment” opens from 8:00 a.m. on August 19 to August 20 at the National Broadcasting Center, 58 Quan Su, Hanoi. After the announcement ceremony on August 20, the Organizing Committee will continue to serve the people to visit and experience at the exhibition area of the Voice of Vietnam from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi).
