On April 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate announced that it had decided to fine two establishments for illegally advertising and providing male medical services.
Facility one is SaiGon Shine Company Limited, located at 95 Vo Thi Sau, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, which was granted a certificate of registration for a skin care business and a license for a dental clinic, but illegally advertised and practiced male medical treatment.
This clinic shows signs of disregarding the law, advertising and practicing illegally by hiding under the guise of a dental clinic, advertising on Facebook as a urology clinic “SaiGon Shine Clinic” using a laser projector to increase penis size.
This facility has twice refused to sign the administrative violation report (April 3 and April 15), corresponding to two surprise inspections by the Department of Health Inspectorate stemming from complaints from the people.
The Department of Health decided to revoke the dental clinic's practice certificate for 6 months.
In addition, the decision fined this facility 132 million VND and suspended its operations.
At the same time, the Department of Health requested the Department of Planning and Investment to consider suspending the business lines related to medical examination, treatment and skin care of this enterprise.
The second case is the UCI International facility, which was granted a business registration code by the People's Committee of District 1 (Mr. Nguyen Minh Thanh is the owner) for sauna, massage and similar health-enhancing services.
However, through a surprise inspection, two customers were discovered to be receiving consultation and skin care services and "penis enlargement".
The inspection team discovered that the fourth and fifth floors were where services were provided to customers, with each floor having a room with three beds and products used by customers.
On the sixth floor, there is a cabinet for storing goods and cosmetics for customers. However, the facility could not provide invoices or documents proving the origin of the above products and goods. The delegation temporarily detained them for handling according to regulations.
Checking on this facility's Facebook page, there are advertisements posted related to andrology services such as: medical standard penis enlargement, penis enlargement, full facial rejuvenation, wrinkle removal, face lift...
The Health Department Inspectorate has fined the facility at least 60 million VND for administrative violations and suspended its operations.
The Department of Health requested the People's Committee of District 1 to strengthen post-licensing inspections and strictly handle establishments that take advantage of this sensitive business type to provide services outside the scope of the license.
