All students in Ho Chi Minh City will not have to pay tuition fees from the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, with the above support policy, preschool children under 5 years old and public high school students will not have to pay tuition. Meanwhile, students at non-public schools (except schools with foreign investment) will receive support equal to the tuition fees of public schools.

Specifically, the supported tuition fees are as follows:

The estimated budget for implementing the policy is 653 billion VND. Of which, the budget for supporting tuition fees for preschool children and public high school students is 423 billion VND, and for non-public schools is 230 billion VND.

Thus, according to Decree 81 of the Government , from the 2025-2026 school year, public primary school students, 5-year-old preschool children and secondary school students are exempted from tuition fees. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City issued a resolution on tuition support policies for preschool children under 5 years old and high school students. From the 2025-2026 school year, all preschool children, students from primary to secondary school, high school and continuing education systems of all levels in Ho Chi Minh City will not have to pay tuition fees.
