Latest storm news 11/8: Early this morning, storm Yinxing entered the eastern sea of the North East Sea, becoming storm number 7 with strong winds of level 14, gusting to level 17.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that early this morning (November 8), Typhoon Yinxing entered the eastern sea of the North East Sea, becoming the seventh typhoon in 2024.
At 4am, the strongest wind near the storm center was level 14 (150-166km/h), gusting to level 17. Moving west, speed about 15km/h.
The latest forecast shows that after entering the East Sea, storm No. 7 will move mainly in a westerly direction, towards the North of the Hoang Sa archipelago, then change direction to the West Northwest and then West Southwest towards the sea areas of the Central Central provinces.
However, when storm No. 7 approaches the Hoang Sa archipelago, the storm's intensity is likely to weaken; most likely when it makes landfall it will only be level 8 or weaken into a tropical depression.
From the next 72 to 120 hours, the storm moved in a southwest direction, traveling 10-15km per hour, and continued to weaken.
The meteorological agency noted that the trajectory and intensity of storm No. 7 are still complicated, so people need to update and monitor in the next bulletins.
Due to the influence of storm No. 7, the eastern sea area of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 8-11, near the storm's eye level 12-14, gusting to level 17, waves 4-6m high, near the eye 6-8m; the sea is very rough.
Ships operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
