Ms. Phuong added that currently, recruitment of companies and businesses is often based on a common framework of 4 factors: expertise, experience, soft skills, and experience.

If in the previous stage, candidates with strong expertise often had a big plus in the recruitment process, now, in addition to expertise, businesses also emphasize experience and soft skills.

Nowadays, soft skills greatly determine a person's success at work. Not only stopping at communication skills, the requirements for soft skills have now expanded, including the ability to use AI as a working tool, must be proficient in English, have the ability to work independently and in a team... Therefore, during the learning process, if students do not create a training path and gain experience for themselves, when they graduate, it will be very easy to "slip" on the job application journey.

To best prepare students to meet the criteria of employers, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University, said: "In 2023-2024, the school has included in all regular university training programs applied from course 66 (enrollment in 2024) the subject "Basic data science in economics & business - 3 credits" with training content suitable for students of each training group. The subject will equip students with basic knowledge and skills about data, technology, engineering, ...

The school has researched and integrated many software into teaching and learning (lecturers and students are given accounts): Comprehensive management software for businesses (Company Management); Accounting Solution Software (AccountingSuite); Enterprise technology platform;... Invested in purchasing about 20 software with a budget of tens of billions of VND to serve teaching, learning and scientific research.

In addition, the school also builds programs and organizes short-term training courses on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence applications for students (courses with the participation of large enterprises such as VNPT AI, ...): "Basic Data Science and AI"; "Business Data Analysis"; "Business Data Reporting and Visualization", ... training courses attract hundreds of students in economics, business and finance.

Dr. Le Anh Duc also informed that the school is promoting the improvement of entrance standards through recruiting students with excellent abilities (in the top 10% of the best in the country); giving priority to students with English skills according to international standards (by 2024, 70% of students will have IELTS >= 5.5 and entrance score >= 26 points).

Foreign language output standards, the school requires students to achieve 5.5 for Vietnamese standard training programs before graduation; 6.0 and 6.5 for English training programs.

Mr. Phan Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of a textile company, said that businesses really like candidates with "real-life" abilities. Therefore, schools need to create conditions for students to both study and "real-life" in the labor market.
