While taking care of the black pigs and hybrid wild boars to sell at the end of the year, Mr. Linh shared: When he first came to La Ngau commune to start a business, because he had no capital to invest in business, the couple could only rely on picking bamboo shoots, picking mushrooms, cutting bamboo and working as hired laborers to make a living. Seeing that the villagers raised black pigs very easily and had favorable output, he really wanted to develop the black pig raising model. Thanks to the help of the local government, which supported his family with 5 million VND, Mr. Linh bought a pair of black pigs to try raising. The pigs were healthy and grew quickly. Next, the family was able to borrow 50 million VND from the loan fund for poor households. With this money, the family bought 2 breeding cows and bought more black pigs to raise. Raising pigs and cows increased their income and gradually made the family's life less difficult.

Thanks to hard work and saving, each year the family invests in buying cashew plantations. From 5 sao of plantations, the area has now increased to 2 hectares of cashew plantations. In the current barn, there are 6 hybrid wild sows and black pigs, 2 boars, 15 pigs for meat, and piglets; many sows are preparing to give birth. In 2022, the family earned 50 million VND from selling hybrid wild piglets and black pigs. With the accumulated capital and the State's support for policy families of 40 million VND, in 2018, Mr. Linh's family built a solid house worth over 120 million VND. Currently, his family's life is stable, his children have grown up and started their own families.

Recently, after paying back the capital, Mr. Linh's family continued to receive a loan of 50 million VND from the Social Policy Bank. He continued to invest this money in pig farming and improving the cashew garden to increase productivity and income for the family. Although he is old, Mr. Linh still maintains the model of raising black pigs and hybrid wild pigs. Each pair of hybrid wild pigs sells for about 2 million VND, and black pigs cost less. On average, each year the family also earns tens of millions of VND from selling piglets for breeding, not including pigs for meat.

The model of raising black pigs and hybrid wild boars of Mr. Ly Tuyet Linh's household in La Ngau commune, although small in scale, is suitable for the conditions and for an elderly person like him. The important thing is that the efficiency is also quite high. With his experience in raising pigs, at the end of this year, the piglets will be sold, the income will ensure a full and warm traditional Tet holiday, Mr. Linh said.
