Each candidate has a separate exam, knowing the score immediately after submitting the exam.

According to the initial concept, this exam format has many similarities with the current competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University. Candidates take the exam directly on the computer, each person has a separate exam. When completing the exam, candidates can know the results immediately.

Regarding security, the entire test-taking process and data will be saved by the computer system. If there is any cheating behavior such as stealing questions or interfering with results, the system can retrieve and detect it promptly.

Save manpower and costs

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Deputy Minister of Education and Training , commented: "Computer-based exams will not require as much human resources to serve the exam as they do now, helping to reduce costs and improve organizational efficiency."

However, to ensure successful implementation, the Ministry is building a preparation roadmap, including: Standardizing exam questions in a format suitable for computer-based exams; Investing in equipment for computer labs at schools; Strengthening network and data security; Developing and promulgating new exam regulations; A roadmap for nationwide application after 2030.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong affirmed: "In the immediate future, the computer-based graduation exam will only be piloted in a few qualified places. The goal is to expand nationwide after 2030."

The implementation of computer-based graduation exams is expected to make the exam fairer and more transparent, while saving resources and modernizing education in the digital transformation period.
