According to the report of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in the first 6 months of the year, there were 41 aviation safety incidents. In addition, many incidents related to aircraft tires being cut by foreign objects have been recorded recently, affecting the continuous operation of the aircraft.
The Ministry of Transport requests the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to urgently conduct an investigation, clearly identify the cause, and classify the incident. Based on the investigation results, provide safety recommendations to relevant units, and at the same time, strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the regulations to cause incidents, seriously handle the responsibilities of related organizations and individuals according to regulations, and overcome existing problems to ensure safe, smooth, and effective flight operations.
Given the above reality, ensuring aviation security and safety, especially for flights, is an important issue that is given top priority, thereby promptly detecting and handling violations, while ensuring the quality of aviation services.
Previously, on June 24, two planes were at risk of colliding while preparing to take off and land between a Thai Air Asia flight and a VJC943 flight on June 24 at Noi Bai International Airport. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested an investigation and clarification to avoid similar situations in the future.
In addition, the Department also requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to direct the Northern Air Traffic Management Company to temporarily remove from the flight control chain all duty shifts at Noi Bai air traffic control tower related to the incident to serve the investigation and verification.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, currently some airports in the North are affected by fog and low clouds, causing some flights to be delayed, canceled, or diverted. The Civil Aviation Authority requires airports and airlines to strictly follow standard operating procedures, pay attention during flights, and promptly contact relevant air traffic control facilities when assistance is needed to ensure flight safety.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam's aviation safety report, 41 incidents occurred in the first 6 months of this year. Of which, there was 1 aviation accident, down 18% compared to the same period in 2022, down 9 aviation safety incidents.
