Today, March 7, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the Prime Minister's decision to transfer and appoint a Deputy Minister of Education and Training. The new Deputy Minister of Education and Training is Mr. Le Tan Dung, former Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. After the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs merged with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government transferred and appointed Mr. Le Tan Dung to the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training, the decision took effect from March 1.

According to the decision on assignment of tasks of the Minister and Deputy Ministers, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung is the second account holder of the Ministry of Education and Training (the first account holder is Minister Nguyen Kim Son) and is assigned to be in charge of the following areas: planning - finance, public investment; school facilities and equipment; socialization of education; sectoral and local planning; flood and storm prevention, natural disasters and climate change...

Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung is also in charge of units of the Ministry of Education and Training: Department of Planning and Finance; Office; Project Management Board of the Ministry of Education and Training; One Member Co., Ltd. Vocational Education Equipment.

Mr. Le Tan Dung, 59 years old, has held the following positions: Deputy Chief of Office of Long An Provincial Party Committee; Director of Long An Provincial Department of Home Affairs; Secretary of Thu Thua District Party Committee, Long An Province; Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. When he was Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr. Le Tan Dung was assigned to direct the field of vocational education.

Since March, the Government has transferred the vocational education sector from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to the Ministry of Education and Training. Mr. Le Tan Dung was transferred to lead the Ministry of Education and Training, but is no longer in charge of the vocational education sector.

The Ministry of Education and Training currently has 5 deputy ministers: Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, and Mr. Le Tan Dung.
