Ta Van Chu dreamy season

In the season of ripe red plums, familiar names of products such as “Moc Chau plums”, “Pu Nhi plums”, “Sa Pa plums”… and even “Bac Ha plums” are often mentioned. Wherever there are plum gardens, there is a spring filled with pure flowers. The beautiful name “white plateau” for Bac Ha land also comes from that – when spring comes, pear, apricot and plum flowers bloom and turn the sky and earth white.

Ta Van Chu is the most famous name in Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province when plum blossom season. This is a commune of Bac Ha district with many H'Mong people living. In recent years, Ta Van Chu has become more known to the tourism community because of its beautiful villages, hidden with ancient rammed earth houses. And the most attractive thing is when spring comes, the hills and mountains seem to wear a sparkling white flower coat, captivating visitors who travel miles to visit the village. Spring comes to Ta Van Chu when flowers bloom white on the hillsides, along the village entrances, and around the fences of houses... The village, the hills and mountains become more dreamy and magical than ever, whether in the early morning when the mist is lingering or in the afternoon when the sun is gently setting. Ta Van Chu in H'Mong language means "wide valley". This place has complex terrain, divided by many hills and steep slopes, the valley is nestled under mountain ranges. Therefore, the road to Ta Van Chu is not easy, there are many places where phone signals cannot be received, but for that reason, tourists are always eager to overcome the challenge to set foot on this pristine land. The H'Mong people in Ta Van Chu grow many types of trees such as tea trees, plum trees, medicinal herbs... In recent years, the plum growing area has increased because local plums are popular in the market, and importantly, local tourism products associated with plum trees have helped people improve their lives. According to the project to build an ecological village model in Lao Cai province, the H'Mong people here are popularized and trained in how to do community tourism, especially the form of serving tourists in homestays. Therefore, when coming here, most visitors will be quite satisfied with the accommodation services, just enough to not feel deprived, cozy enough to feel the rusticity of the highland culture. Don't hesitate to raise a cup of warm corn wine with the locals or generously pay them a little money when borrowing colorful brocade costumes to take pictures with flowers. La Di Thang village is considered one of the places with the most beautiful plum gardens, with many rammed earth houses hidden behind the trees. There are ancient plum trees that are several decades old, so their trunks are rough, moss clings tightly, their canopies spread out, white flowers bloom, and just a light breeze blows by and the thin petals fly throughout the space. That moment seems to erase the boundary between reality and dream.
