On the afternoon of June 22, the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Antiquities Association and domestic antique collectors, organized an exhibition with the theme "Convergence of Antiques".
The exhibition took place from June 22 to July 21 at Kien Trung Palace, Hue Imperial Citadel, introducing to the public 147 precious antiques of the country that were painstakingly collected by antique collectors.
The antiques and artifacts are selected according to material groups, such as: enamelware, ceramics, metal, wood, etc., made during the Nguyen Dynasty, used in the royal court and among the people.

Receiving the most attention in the exhibition "Convergence of Antiquities" is the cannon dating from the 3rd year of Minh Mang (1822).
This is the 256th of 300 cannons cast under King Minh Mang, known as Vu Cong Tuong Quan.

This is one of two cannons over 200 years old discovered and salvaged by fishermen in Thuan An sea (Hue city) and voluntarily handed over to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum in January.

According to Mr. Hoang Viet Trung - Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the artifacts gathered on this occasion are diverse in materials, functions (daily life, worship, decoration, entertainment, etc.), rich in types and origins.

Long Van decorated teapot, inscribed Tu Duc year of creation (19th century), brought to the exhibition by collector Vo Nhat Thai Binh (from Ho Chi Minh City).
Antique experts say this teapot has a very unique design and decoration, and is considered rare.
