The "little heroes"
A series of game shows and television programs have been using all their “tricks” to attract audiences. One of those “tricks” is the appearance of “stars” – not kids, but very kids.
The two most talked about phenomena at the moment are Ku Tin in Comedy Challenge (currently airing on HTV7), Tiny Hero ( Vinh Long Radio and Television Station) and baby An Khang in Comedy Challenge .
Singer Cam Ly - judge of the show Little Hero - commented: "Every playground has two sides. With Little Hero, I really felt like I was no longer a judge but was so excited to witness the lovely, cute performances of the children.
As for the downside of being famous when the children are too young, in my opinion it still depends on the family environment, the important thing is how the family guides their children towards what goals. If it is just a fun activity for children to have the opportunity to show their talents, develop and explore their strengths, that is good. But if you guide your children in a way to "have something", or become famous, then it is out of the question.
An Khang (4 years old) after winning 40 million VND in Comedy Challenge season 2 became a sensation online when he sang the song " Someone else's wife" . An Khang's competition video and his hit song attracted more than 5 million views on YouTube. With his extremely innocent and adorable "acting like not acting" gestures, An Khang is a phenomenon in the online community.
The boy sings, expresses and acts comedy in a "school" that makes judge Tran Thanh exclaim: "You are one of the first comedians in the world to create a new school of comedy, which is acting without the audience needing to understand anything."
Khang lost his father when he was still in his mother's womb, his family is quite poor. He lives with his mother in Lam Dong, and his two sisters study in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to comedy, An Khang also has a great talent for music. He often sings and dances to Korean music groups.
Ku Tin (real name Huynh Minh Hoang, 4 years old, currently living with his parents in Ho Chi Minh City) is known by the online community by the nickname "Shin - Vietnamese version of Pencil Boy" or "Banh Bao Boy", and was famous online before participating in game shows. Ku Tin's cuteness is shown through his chubby body, funny face and extremely adorable way of "reasoning". Videos of the songs Hon Que, Ao Trang Ca Mau, Cay Cau Dua, Noi Lai Tinh Xua ... and clips of the competition in the 2 game shows he participated in are currently the most sought after. Ku Tin's personal page has more than 170,000 followers. Most recently, the image of Ku Tin at MC Thanh Bach's birthday party has more than 9,000 "likes".
Other "child" faces that are causing a stir include: little Rubi competing in Comedy Challenge , named Minh Ngan, over 3 years old and living in Thai Nguyen; little Bao Ngoc from Can Tho, the youngest contestant (7 years old) in Familiar Faces Kids 2015; little Minh Minh (4 years old) in Tiny Hero ...
The Two Sides of Fame
In Little Hero , Ku Tin makes the audience excited with the Drum Dance. But there are many opinions about the baby's costume: he cannot wear a blue yếm shirt, the pants are too long. Many parents, because they love and care for Ku Tin, feel very sorry when they see him falling down and falling down during the competition performances.
Ms. Nguyet Minh on Nguyen Trai Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) commented: “I love Ku Tin so much because of his intelligence. Because he is still so young, his parents should be more careful in the performances their children perform in competitions. They are worried that his fame and passion for art will make him lose time to focus on studying, and will take away the carefree life he deserves at his age.”
Or like baby An Khang with the clip "Someone's Wife" has received many mixed opinions. Because the baby is too young, singing love songs will more or less affect the baby's psychology. An Khang's sister affirmed that currently, the family carefully considers every time they post the baby's clips online.
After Bao Ngoc was invited to participate in the movie I See Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass , an international school in Ho Chi Minh City wanted to provide her with a full scholarship until grade 12.
Bao Ngoc's mother decided to transfer her child from Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh City to make it more convenient for her. She said she had to turn down movie offers because her child had skipped school a lot to compete in singing. She also always explained to her child that his main task was to study.
Every time Bao Ngoc is photographed or asked for an autograph, this 38-year-old mother whispers and explains to her child. She hopes her child does not dream of becoming famous too soon or of being a copy of the stars she plays in Familiar Faces Kids.
In the US, especially in the Vietnamese community of Southern California, the names Ku Tin, An Khang, Bao Ngoc, Rubi... are mentioned as a phenomenon.
The videos of the children participating in the contest were immediately broadcast on domestic television and were enthusiastically watched by overseas Vietnamese the next day.
Mr. Hai Binh (near Phuoc Loc Tho, Garden Grove City, California) said: “My family of three generations really enjoy watching the children’s performances or clips online. The children are so adorable and will be talented in the future if properly trained. However, I am just worried that because they become famous too soon, they will be under pressure and neglect their studies.” A show producer in the US said that he is “studying” Ku Tin and will most likely invite him to tour the US in the near future.
