“Auto Blocker” was originally designed to protect Galaxy devices from security threats via the USB port. However, with the latest One UI 6.1.1 update, the feature has been expanded to include preventing users from installing apps from unofficial sources.

According to information from Gizmochina, Galaxy device users can easily turn off this feature if they want to install applications from outside.

To do this, users simply need to go to the Settings app > Security & Privacy > Auto Blocker. Once turned off, the device will return to Android's default external app installation behavior, allowing users to continue installing apps after granting the necessary permissions.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 are the first devices to come with this feature built in. When users first set up their device, they will receive a notification detailing the limitations of "Auto Blocker." Here, users can choose to turn this feature off if they do not want to be restricted from installing apps from outside sources.

Samsung’s addition of this feature is considered an important step to enhance user security and protect them from potential risks from unknown applications. This not only helps to enhance the safety of Galaxy devices but also demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to protecting users’ rights and personal information.
