On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989 - 2024), on the afternoon of December 19, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong visited and presented flowers to congratulate officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command and Division 968 (Military Region 4).

In particular, the traditional meeting program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day took place successfully on the morning of December 19 in Dong Ha City.

The Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the important contributions of the provincial armed forces in the cause of national defense. Promoting the role of the core force to ensure political security, social order and safety, creating a stable and favorable environment, promoting local socio-economic development. At the same time, he emphasized that the general achievements and results of the locality in 2024 have the positive and effective contributions of the armed forces of the whole province.

Promoting the achieved results, the Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard to strongly innovate border management and protection measures, promptly detect and handle violations effectively, both resolutely maintain territorial sovereignty and national border security, and strengthen the implementation of the State management function on borders and border gates, creating an open environment, well serving the policy of opening up and expanding international exchanges and cooperation. Pay attention to and support the people in the border areas to gradually overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
