The contest received 1,021 entries from various units.

Identifying the meaning and importance in social life of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation; this is the third year that Thanh Xuan District Party Committee has launched the contest to key cadres, affiliated Party organizations and departments, branches, sectors, unions, agencies and units under the district.

With its wide spread, the contest received 1,021 entries from various units. After evaluation, the Organizing Committee selected 503 entries for grading and selected 45 entries that met the quality requirements to be proposed for district-level commendation.

Among them, the oldest candidate is 96 years old (party member Nguyen Dinh Hau, born in 1928, Khuong Mai ward Party Committee) with the essay "Absolutely trust in the Party, steadfastly move forward"; the youngest candidate is 14 years old (Le Dinh Tung, born in 2010, 8A grade student, Phan Dinh Giot Secondary School, Nhan Chinh ward) with the essay "Promoting love for studying national history, patriotism to become a useful person in the future".

Head of the Propaganda Department of Thanh Xuan District Party Committee Vuong Thi Van Khanh said that this is the third year the contest has been implemented in the entire Party Committee, so units and individuals have experience in organizing, implementing and writing contest entries. Therefore, many entries have deeply demonstrated the spirit of rebuttal and struggle in the current period, the number of quality entries is concentrated in the Public Security sector and the Veterans Association. In particular, the ward sector has comrade Nguyen Dinh Hau (96 years old, Khuong Mai Ward Party Committee), despite his old age, he has actively participated in the contest for 3 consecutive years); the author group of Phan Dinh Giot Primary School and comrade Chu Thi Mai Van (Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Thuong Dinh Ward) participated in the contest in the form of videos.

Rewarding 10 groups and 45 individuals with outstanding works

At the conference to summarize the district-level competition, Thanh Xuan District Party Committee awarded 10 collectives and 45 individuals with outstanding works participating in the Fourth Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2024. At the same time, 30 typical and excellent entries were selected to participate in the city-level competition.

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of Thanh Xuan District Party Committee Bui Huyen Mai emphasized that the contest aims to propagate, disseminate, raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, party members and people about the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation; is an opportunity for the Thanh Xuan District Party Committee to mobilize, foster and regularly train the existing core force; at the same time discover, select, train and foster young forces with potential in this field.

To continue to deploy and carry out the contest well in the coming time; Thanh Xuan District Party Secretary Bui Huyen Mai requested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies and units in the district continue to propagate the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, the values ​​of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; introduce new factors, advanced examples, good people and good deeds; implement the motto "use beauty to eliminate ugliness"; raise vigilance, do not participate in negative comments or share bad and toxic information on cyberspace.

Each party organization and unit must grasp the ideological situation and public opinion among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life. Regularly grasp and promptly monitor information and events related to political security, social order and safety, and project implementation in the area to improve forecasting, promptly detect and orient information on inappropriate and pressing issues in society and in the locality, not allowing hostile forces to take advantage of distortion, incite complaints and protests, causing political and social instability.
