On October 24, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Kien Giang province coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu Quoc city to welcome the Der Touristik charter group from the Czech Republic to visit and relax on the "pearl island".

Accordingly, the A350 flight number WFL8623 operated by World2Fly Airlines brought 400 passengers from the Czech Republic. The charter group Der Touristik from the Czech Republic is expected to visit and relax in Phu Quoc for a week and will leave the pearl island on October 31.

Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Kien Giang Province, Quan Xuan Lua, said that from now until the end of the year, Phu Quoc will welcome many international delegations to visit and relax. This is the result of the process of promoting and advertising the image of the "pearl island" to domestic and foreign tourists.

On October 28, Phu Quoc city continued to welcome Der Touristik charter group from Slovakia with about 400 guests, staying for 1 week.

According to a representative of Phu Quoc International Airport, in late October and early November 2024, more domestic flights from Can Tho and Da Nang to Phu Quoc will be reconnected.

The Can Tho-Phu Quoc flight operated by Vietnam Air Services Company (Vasco) will officially resume operations with a frequency of 5 flights departing/returning on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Danang-Phu Quoc flight frequency 4 flights depart/return on 2nd, 4th, 6th and Sunday.

According to the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang province, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the province is estimated to welcome more than 8.8 million visitors (reaching 95.8% of the annual plan), of which international visitors are estimated to welcome more than 813 thousand (exceeding 19.6% of the annual plan), with total revenue reaching about 21,503 billion VND.

Phu Quoc city alone, from the beginning of 2024 to now, is estimated to welcome more than 5.2 million visitors (reaching 78.8% of the annual plan); of which, international visitors are estimated to welcome nearly 800,000 visitors (exceeding 20% ​​of the annual plan), with total revenue reaching VND 17,905 billion (exceeding 5.3% of the annual plan).
