Desolate, dilapidated... is the reality at Bac Ky Anh General Clinic. Located right next to provincial road 551, the clinic has an area of over 5,000 ^m2 , in Ho Hai village, old Ky Tien commune, now Ky Anh commune.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Quang (Ho Hai village) indignantly said: “My house is right in front of the clinic, and every time I see it, I see a dirty, disgusting, and very unpleasant scene. This clinic is dilapidated and damaged, and everyone who enters feels very disgusted. Because it has been abandoned for a long time, people have taken advantage of it to dump garbage, especially construction waste, so it is very dirty. My family and the surrounding households have reflected and petitioned many times, hoping that the authorities at all levels will have a solution to end this abandoned situation, so that the landscape will be cleaner and more beautiful. A new rural commune that leaves abandoned and degraded buildings for many years like this is not only polluted, unsightly, but also wasteful.”

Rows of damaged houses, broken tile roofs...

Observation shows that the functional buildings of Bac Ky Anh General Clinic are seriously damaged, the surrounding wall system is dilapidated; the walls are stained, patchy, and peeling; most of the roof tiles have collapsed; the frame is dilapidated. In the clinic's premises, garbage is piled up and weeds are everywhere. This is also a place where many people keep and graze cattle and dump garbage.

Mr. Nguyen The Quyen - Secretary of the Ho Hai village Party Cell said: "We have repeatedly called on villagers to clean up the environment in the area of Bac Ky Anh General Clinic, but due to the large area and the border between two villages of two communes, the cleaning is very difficult, and many people do not agree to respond. We hope that the authorities and functional agencies will promptly find solutions to this project, reusing the land to avoid waste and ensure the environment."

Bac Ky Anh General Clinic becomes a place for cattle grazing and construction waste dumping

It is known that in 2022, Ky Anh District General Hospital (the clinic management unit) had a record of handing over land and assets on the land to the People's Committee of the old Ky Tien commune for management and handling, avoiding loss and waste of public assets. However, since the old Ky Tien commune took over, the project has remained abandoned. Currently, the new Ky Anh commune has received this area as it is.

Mr. Vo Xuan Thanh - Vice Chairman of Ky Anh Commune People's Committee added: "The newly established commune has taken over the Bac Ky Anh General Clinic in its original state. In the short term, we will direct the village and mass organizations to clean up the environment. In the long term, the commune will base on the old planning of land for business and commercial services to call for investors or children far from home who have enough capacity to invest in projects here."
