Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong gave an overview of Tuyen Quang province, and emphasized that in recent years, the province has actively implemented activities to connect and meet the Vietnamese community abroad, and attended events organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

Currently, Tuyen Quang province has over 5,400 people living, working, studying,... in over 50 countries and territories. In 2024, the province received attention and support from the Vietnamese community in a number of countries, the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad...

In order to strengthen the connection and further promote the cooperation between Tuyen Quang province and the overseas Vietnamese community, the province hopes that overseas experts and intellectuals will participate in consulting, technology transfer, and investment cooperation in the province in areas where the province has potential and strengths such as agriculture, tourism, and trade; enhance cultural exchange activities of overseas Vietnamese in the locality, organize events to preserve Vietnamese cultural identity abroad; overseas Vietnamese contribute to charity programs, build social infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, houses of gratitude, etc.

He requested the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to report and propose to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue supporting localities in updating information, connecting with the overseas Vietnamese community, creating conditions for localities to have conditions and opportunities to meet overseas Vietnamese; mobilizing businesses, individuals, overseas Vietnamese intellectuals, and businessmen with prestige and great influence in the overseas Vietnamese community to be interested in investing and expanding production and business in Vietnam, including Tuyen Quang province.

In the coming time, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese hopes that Tuyen Quang province will continue to pay attention to the work of overseas Vietnamese; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in bringing Conclusion 12 of the Politburo on the work of overseas Vietnamese in the new situation into life, attracting overseas Vietnamese resources to serve the socio-economic development of the province; support local associations of overseas Vietnamese relatives to improve the efficiency of their operations; continue to closely coordinate with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to regularly provide information, promptly support and resolve issues related to overseas Vietnamese; organize programs for overseas Vietnamese in the locality.
