Disseminate knowledge on adjusting birth rate and improving population quality for farmers' association members of Quynh Luu commune

On the morning of June 6, the Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning coordinated with the Nho Quan District Farmers' Association to organize a conference to disseminate knowledge on adjusting birth rates and improving population quality for 90 farmer members of Quynh Luu commune.

At the conference, the reporters of the Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning provided the following contents: The Party and State's viewpoints on population and family planning; achievements of population work; orientations of population and family planning work in the coming time. They pointed out the difficulties and challenges of population work, the current situation and causes of the birth rate in Vietnam and Ninh Binh province; goals, tasks and solutions.

Accordingly, the goal of the Ninh Binh Province Fertility Adjustment Program by 2025 is to achieve the replacement fertility level (an average of 2.1 children per woman of childbearing age) in the province; from 2026 onwards, to firmly maintain the replacement fertility level in the province.

The reporters also raised key issues of population work in the new situation; some basic contents of the program to expand screening, diagnosis, and treatment of some prenatal and neonatal diseases and disabilities.

Through the conference to disseminate knowledge on adjusting birth rates and improving population quality, it aims to raise awareness of the people in general and farmers in particular in implementing population and development programs, stabilizing the scale and improving population quality in the province.
