On the afternoon of October 6, the Ha Tinh Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs held its 2nd Congress for the 2023-2028 term with the participation of 110 delegates representing nearly 500 members who are entrepreneurs, directors of cooperatives, cooperative groups, farm owners, and business households. The Ha Tinh Province Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs was established under Decision No. 3049/QD-UBND dated October 11, 2018. To date, the Association has recruited nearly 500 members. District and grassroots associations have initially operated effectively with many practical forms, creating cohesion, connection, exchange of learning experiences, and mutual support in production and business.
Vice President of Ha Tinh Veteran Entrepreneurs Association Nguyen Xuan Hai presented a report on the results of implementing tasks in the past term; directions and tasks in the new term.
The province currently has 4,400 models of war veterans and former soldiers who are good at doing business. Of these, there are 200 enterprises; more than 400 cooperatives and cooperative groups; nearly 3,800 farms, family farms, and production and business households with incomes from 400 million VND to billions of VND/year. Most of the economic models owned by war veterans are effective models, actively contributing their efforts and money, contributing to many projects and tasks in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas in the locality.
Chairman of Nghi Xuan District Veteran Entrepreneurs Association Le Van Binh presented the topic "Some personal experiences in high-tech agricultural production in recent times".
Along with promoting production and business activities, member enterprises are always exemplary and actively respond to the policies of the Party and State, movements and campaigns of local Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and War Veterans Association.
Accordingly, from 2018 to present, the association at all levels and member enterprises have mobilized contributions of more than 10.2 billion VND to support the construction of 21 gratitude houses, 3 martyrs' churches and organized the presentation of 2,160 gifts to families of martyrs, war invalids, heroic Vietnamese mothers... in the province.
The Congress also frankly acknowledged and pointed out some shortcomings in the past term such as: propaganda work on the nature, functions and roles of the association, although done well, was not really regular; many war veterans who are business owners and production and business establishments are not ready to voluntarily join the association...
In the 2023 - 2028 term, the Provincial Association of War Veterans Entrepreneurs will continue to promote the nature and tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, solidarity - discipline - affection - cooperation for mutual development; build an increasingly strong and comprehensive association; complete the set goals, targets, programs and tasks.
Some goals for the 2023 - 2028 term: Strive to have 100% of district-level war veteran business associations by the end of the term; each district-level unit has at least 1 commune-level or inter-commune branch; recruit at least 200 new members. Strive to create jobs for over 10,000 workers; average salary of workers over 10 million VND/month. Each member enterprise has at least 1 team spirit activity, 1 charity, humanitarian, social security activity, 1 project, part of the work to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas... every year. |
Speaking at the congress, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh acknowledged and commended the contributions of the Ha Tinh Veteran Entrepreneurs Association in the economic development and social security work of the province.

Pay attention to building a civilized lifestyle, a cultural environment in enterprises and constantly improve the lives of workers.
In addition, the Provincial Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs needs to focus on building an increasingly strong association, paying attention to developing members, promoting social responsibility and actively participating in local movements.

At the congress, delegates elected the Executive Committee of the Ha Tinh Veteran Entrepreneurs Association for the 2023-2028 term, consisting of 20 comrades; veteran Nguyen Van Suu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Central Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company was elected as Chairman.
