Starting from March, Con Dao (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) enters the most beautiful season of the year. The list of favorite check-in places for tourists here adds the trekking trail up Lo Voi mountain.

The "popular" factor of the place lies in the panoramic view of the district, with both the sea and the mountains. The promontory jutting out from the mountain, resembling a dinosaur's spine, is also a highlight of the place.

According to the Con Dao Center for Culture, Information and Tourism, the coordinates for those who love nature are part of the project to renovate the patrol walking trail, combined with the scenic Lo Voi mountain.

The main purpose is to create a clean, safe landscape to serve the patrol work of the officers. However, with the spectacular scenery on the mountain, the locality is considering implementing a specific tourism exploitation plan after the repair is completed.

However, the project is still under construction, some items are not yet completed, leading to limitations in the visiting process. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

From the foot of the mountain on Ong Co Street, it will take visitors about 30-40 minutes to climb to the top. The road to the "roof of Con Dao" is relatively easy to travel, flat thanks to the stone-paved path.

During this period, hundreds of turtles from the beaches of the National Park will come ashore to lay eggs. Of which, Hon Bay Canh is where about 80% of the sea turtles lay eggs in Con Dao. The district is also the first destination in Vietnam to implement a sea turtle conservation program and watch turtles lay eggs.

To "hunt" for the moment when the mother turtle gives birth, visitors must come to the Garden late at night because the turtle's habit is to lay eggs at night.

During the Lunar New Year, Ba Ria - Vung Tau welcomed about 773,523 visitors, an increase of 13.07% over the same period last year, from January 29 to February 2. Of which, the number of visitors to Con Dao on the first and second days of the Lunar New Year decreased by about 30.38% compared to the same period in 2024. The reason is that the time of Tet falls during the rough sea season, so cruise ships stop bringing visitors to the locality to ensure safety. The tourist season here falls from March to September every year.
