Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai approved the investment policy and accepted funding from domestic organizations and individuals to invest in the construction of a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River.

On the afternoon of October 13, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong said that regarding the investment in building a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai approved the investment policy and received funding from domestic organizations and individuals to invest in building a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River.

At the same time, the Department of Transport of the City is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to discuss, negotiate and sign a memorandum of agreement with the sponsor on behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, ensuring that the facility implements the next steps in accordance with regulations and reports to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee before October 20.

Regarding the implementation process, relevant departments and units urgently review and give opinions on the proposal of the City Department of Transport in receiving construction works from funding sources of domestic organizations and individuals. The City Department of Transport shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and units to urgently review and supplement the legal basis to apply and complete the process to ensure compliance with regulations (issue the process in the form of temporary administrative guidance documents); at the same time, the draft document of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee shall report to the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and direction; to be completed before October 16.
