Welcoming TP. HCM at home, Nam Dinh Club is determined to win 3 points to extend its winning streak at Night Wolf V-League 2023-2024. The home team at Thien Truong Stadium attacked after the opening whistle.

Right in the 2nd minute, the referee stopped the match to check VAR technology, luckily for TP. HCM there was no handball by the away team's defender.

In the following minutes, coach Vu Hong Viet's students pressed the field and created many difficulties for the defense of Ho Chi Minh City Club.

In the 16th minute, Ho Chi Minh City was awarded a free kick outside the penalty area. Thanh Thao kicked the ball straight towards the goal, leaving Nguyen Manh helpless.

In the 19th minute, Ngoc Long's shot was blocked by Nguyen Manh, Paul Georges immediately kicked the ball into Nam Dinh's net. However, the linesman determined that there was an offside error. VAR technology also determined that there was no goal for the away team.

In the 28th minute, Hendrio rushed down at full speed, his shot defeated goalkeeper Patrick Le Giang but the Ho Chi Minh City defender rushed back to clear the ball right before the goal line.

In the last minutes of the first half, Nam Dinh Club tried very hard but could not score an equalizer. In the second half, the home team continued to take the initiative to attack.

In the 52nd minute, Van Toan crossed the ball from the right wing, but the HCMC player failed to clear the ball well, creating an opportunity for Hendrio to finish, sending the ball through the gap between goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang's legs to tie the score at 1-1.

Riding on the momentum, in the 63rd minute, Hendrio was fouled by a Ho Chi Minh City defender in the penalty area. After checking the VAR technology, the referee awarded a penalty to the home team. At the 11m mark, Nam Dinh's foreign player fooled goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang, giving the home team a 2-1 lead.

In the final minutes, Ho Chi Minh City played quite deadlocked and had to accept a 1-2 loss to Nam Dinh.
